Shaped Tubing Pipe refer to all seamless pipes with cross-sectional shapes other than circular ones. According to the different dimensions of the pipe’s cross-section, they can be further classified into equal-wall-thickness special-shaped seamless pipes (denoted as D), unequal-wall-thickness special-shaped seamless pipes (denoted as BD), and variable-diameter special-shaped seamless pipes (denoted as BJ).
Shaped Tubing Pipe are widely used in various structural components, tools, and mechanical parts. Compared with circular pipes, special-shaped pipes generally have larger moment of inertia and section modulus, and greater bending and torsion resistance, which can significantly reduce the structural weight and save steel.
